All-season tyres are quiet, comfortable, and reasonably priced at our online store.

How to choose all-season tyres for winter?
Why choose all-season tyres for winter driving? Because they are quiet. You don’t want to hear noise caused by studs in the interior of a new car. Quietness is the main advantage of all-season tyres. But, when making a choice, it is important to differentiate between Northern and Central European tyres.

All-season tyres are perfect, if you are driving only in the city; however, if you are also planning to drive on snowy and slippery highways and country roads, the advantages of all-season tyres will become less important. On the other hand, a good all-season tyre functions very well on wet and dry asphalt.

Another advantage of this tyre is that you are less dependent on the seasonal change of tyres. You decide when to install tyres. When the temperature of the road surface starts to drop and you have all-season tyres installed, you can rest assured that you are ready for winter.

You should also remember that if you travel further than Poland, you are not allowed to use studded tyres, which is why you must have winter all-season tyres installed.

Sometimes there is a car in the family that is seldom used. It’s a spare car which can have proper all-season tyres fitted. If the weather conditions are bad and all-season tyres won’t do, you don’t have to take that car on that day. Proper all-season tyres are a good option for the car of the elderly – they can also save money on tyre change.

On our website we feature the tyres we have tested ourselves and which are therefore guaranteed to be suitable for our climate and road conditions. These tyres are marked accordingly on our website. We also recommend planning your purchase before the season begins. This way you will have more time to make a decision and to receive your tyres on time.

What should you know when buying all-season tyres?

Why are some all-season tyres so low-priced?

There are Central and Northern European all-season tyres available which significantly vary in price and in the way they fit for our climate. Central European all-season tyres are cheaper because they are designed for the roads of regions with warmer climate. The sales and production volume of the Northern European all-season tyres is considerably smaller. Thus, their price range can be compared to the price of studded tyres. We do not recommend installing Central European all-season tyres for winter. This type of tyre stops working at minus 7 to minus 10 degrees.

The same all-season tyres all year round?

If you do not use your car very often, you won’t have to change tyres, but if you drive your car on a daily basis, we do not recommend using all-season winter tyres in summer. Driving winter tyres in summer is slippery because their contact area is not as large as in summer tyres. A car with Northern European all-season tyres installed may even glide on the road in hot weather. The braking distance will extend as well. Driving winter tyres in summer damages them because you use driving techniques suitable for summer. Worn out tyres also produce more noise.

How do tyres wear out?

tyres wear out naturally, but not only. Storing tyres in a warehouse has no effect on them. tyres which are in use wear out, for example, due to driving and hot weather. If you use all-season winter tyres in summer, the tyres will wear out more easily. In fact, the whole process of wearing out begins the moment a tyre heats up for the first time during driving. Its chemical composition changes. The heat coming from the sun has the same effect. This is why it is not recommended to store tyres outside, let alone in the direct sunlight.
